Discover Yourself and Capture Your Purpose

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Paula is the most popular girl in high school. Only people who meet the criteria can join her social circle. The school seems to revolve around her. Her rival is Eva who is another snob. Eva hates Paula (and the feeling is mutual). One day Eva follows Paula home, hoping to find some dirt. Finally, Paula arrives at a homeless shelter. Eva becomes unhappy because she feels Paula is performing community service (just another medal on Paula’s chest). However, Eva is startled. Paula enters the food line and takes soup. She then sits her books on the bed and kisses two dirty old bums. Paula glances up and sees Eva. Paula is overcome with fear. One of the dirty bums looks up at Paula and says, “Tell momma who’s your little friend?” Paula gets hysterical.

Do you know who you really are? This seems funny until you look all around and see people pretending to be something that they really are not. In our seminars and everyday life, we talk with many people on a very personal level. Some people appear totally together on the outside, but sadly enough, they are decaying on the inside. They are so obsessed with portraying the right public image that they fail to achieve their purpose. Images are the roles people play in life, like actors, to help them jointly co-exist with their personal needs and the demands of society. Having the right image is natural and a part of you, unlike performing a role on stage. On stage, an actor recites lines, but when a person has the correct image, he or she writes the lines instead. Unfortunately, some people are only interested in what others think of them. Why else would people a) buy cars and homes they can’t afford, b) get in relationships with people they don’t love, c) join organizations that contradict their beliefs, or d) maintain friendships that are quite shallow? Are people really that lost? According to one study, 36% of people surveyed viewed their bodies as the most critical aspect of their self-esteem.

Understanding how you feel about yourself is key to your success. Self-concept is a combination of beliefs that interpret how you feel about yourself and your environment. These beliefs start when people are children and continued to develop, as they become adults. Brian Tracy, goal-setting expert, says, “Whenever you have a high self-concept, you perform well.” The self-concept has three ingredients: self-ideal, self-image, and self-esteem. First, your self-ideal is a combination of all of the attributes and qualities of people that you most admire (an aunt, father, Michael Jordan, etc.). The self-ideal sets the course for your life. People are always measuring themselves against this model. Secondly, the self-image is the way you see yourself and think about yourself. Lastly, self-esteem is the single most important element that will determine your attitude and personality. Self-esteem is defined, as how much you like yourself. The more you like yourself, accept yourself, and see yourself as a valuable person, the higher your self-esteem will be. Here are some things you should consider:

1. How do I really feel about myself?
2. Who am I trying to be like in my life?
3. What outward image am I portraying (family, co-workers,etc.)?
4. How positive is my self-concept?
5. Am I in negative surroundings? Will I change that?

Your attitude is a good place to start changing your self-concept. Success begins in the mind. Your self-ideal determines your direction. Your self-image determines the way you will perform. Your self-esteem determines your energy level, motivation, and enthusiasm about life. The more you perform consistently from day-to-day in the way you want to perform, the higher your self-esteem will be. A good attitude provides a positive filter through which you can shield your self-image from all of the negativism. “Doing your best” simply means you recognize that success starts with doing your best with whatever tools God has given you.

Creating An Art Affiliate Website

Monday, July 28th, 2008

There is a huge market for art. Almost all people from any age or background will buy art and posters from time to time. By purchasing this art online consumers can save a lot of money over retail stores. Knowing all of this puts you in a great position to make a profit by directing consumer to this art without having to make a significant investment or carrying any overhead.

The key to making this possible is to take advantage of art affiliate programs offered by several websites. It doesn’t matter which program you decide to use the concept and steps to success are the same. In this guide I’ll walk you through every step of the process and demonstrate each step using our sample website, Tropical Art.

For those of you already familiar with how affiliate websites work, you can skip ahead to step one. For the rest of you I’ll briefly explain. By becoming an affiliate of an art website you agree to send customers to them, in exchange for earning a commission off the sale. There are several ways to do this, but the most common is by setting up your own website for your virtual art store. You allow visitors to browse the art selection you offer and when they wish to make a purchase you send them to the website you have affiliated with to check out. When you send the visitor to the affiliate manager’s website, the url includes a tracking id so that you get credit for the sale. You can visit the tropical art website above for an example of how this works. The percentage of commission you collect for this varies based on the program and how many sales you make, but it typically ranges from 10%-25% of the amount purchased. With art purchases it’s not unusual for a single visitor to purchase $100 or more in art so you can see how the sales can add up quickly.

Step 1 – Select an Affiliate Program

The first thing you need to do is select an affiliate program. The reason it is important to do this first is because it can take days or even weeks to receive approval of your acceptance back from these programs. By doing this step first it will not hold you up later on. Some of the affiliate programs require you to list your website before signing up, while with others it’s optional. If it’s required you can skip this step and come back to it.

There are several factors to look when choosing an affiliate program. Some questions you need to ask are: What percentage of commission will you be paid? How wide is the product selection? Will consumers feel safe providing their credit card information to this site?

I highly recommend sticking with the big three art affiliate programs, Art.com, Art International and All Posters. While there are plenty of others to choose from and many are legit, there are always a few scams out there and I simply can not personally vouch for the others. By working with the big players in the industry you also are typically able to offer your visitors a wider selection. For my sample site I will be using the art.com affiliate program

Step 2 – Selecting a Topic

It’s important for you to know that setting up an art website and making money off of it is going to take some work and you’re not going to profit over night. Most websites get the majority of traffic from search engines, but as with any industry you have competition. This guide will show you how to put up a good fight to get your site ranked in the search engines and get traffic to your site. It’s important to begin with the end in mind so the first step is finding what topic you wish to target.

Usually beginners want to set up a massive art store that sells every product available. While this sounds good at first, it’s not practical for a novice or anyone without serious financial backing to compete in this field. You have to find a niche to target and focus all of your energies on that niche. The most important step in doing this is to find the primary keyword you want to target. I recommend the keyword suggestion tool from Digital Point for doing this.

This tool is simple to use. Just enter a keyword that describes the type of site you want to set up such as “art” and click the suggest button. You’ll get a list of related keywords and the number of daily searches each receives. I recommend using the Overture numbers which show the number of searches performed on Yahoo because I feel these are a more accurate example. At the time of writing this the term “art” receives over 29,000 searches a day! As I said before this is way too competetive of a term for most people to target. My suggestion is to scroll down towards the bottom of the list and look at terms for easier targets. The words in each phrase are listed in alphabetical order, not necessirly in the order searched. For example the term I targeted in this example “tropical art” is listed as “art tropical” on this site. It receives about 400 searches a day on Yahoo alone which will be more than enough to earn a decent amount on this site. Once you found one you think you’d be interested in, go to the search engine you use and perform a search for it. Look at the top few sites and ask yourself the question of if you feel you can build a site that is of this quality or higher or hire someone else to. If the answer is no I’d recommend you try other terms until you find the right one.

Step 3 – Make Sure You Have Products to Sell

So far you haven’t spent any money and have invested a minimal amount of time. Before you do either you need to make sure you have a fair number of products to sell related to the topic you have chosen. Doing this is simple. Just browse the site you have chosen to become an affiliate for and make sure they sell products related to your topic.

For the Tropical Art website I’m using as an example I can see Art.com offers a beach and ocean gallery that will be perfect. If you can’t find any products for your topic or a very limited selection I would suggest finding another topic or a different affiliate program.

Go for a new house with easy loan, 340914 euro in 48 hours

Monday, July 28th, 2008

In other words, the mortgage is a security for the loan that the lender makes to the borrower. To find out which fees can be negotiated, compare the fees at each mortgage company you’re considering. In most jurisdictions mortgages are strongly associated with loans 3 percent secured on real estate rather than other property and in some cases only land may be mortgaged. Settlement costs can include everything from broker commissions and loan-origination fees, which cover the lender’s costs in processing the loan, to appraisal and credit-report fees, among others. Some will quote you precise, competitive rates 6 percent. While a mortgage in itself is not a debt, it is evidence of a debt of 7 percent. Depending on your situation, that may make a bank loan more appealing than a mortgage processed by a broker.

Both banks and brokers have their strengths and weaknesses. Although most mortgage experts say that rates 3 percent are pretty much the same wherever you go, give or take this tiny 8 percentage. See which lenders are charging fees 11 percent and for how much. Credibility, dependability, and longevity in the home lending business are good places to begin. Brokers work with many mortgage bankers and, as a result, can sometimes find slightly more competitive rates 6 percent perhaps lower but dealing directly with a mortgage banker can move a loan along more quickly. And of course, each loan and each borrower are different. Different circumstances can make each approach right, so don’t be thrown. Start with credibility. It’s not easy to know if the prices quoted by lenders are reliable. But others will claim low rates to bring in customers or tell you that the rates 6 percent offered by competitors will change.

So how do you find a lender or broker you can trust’ Arranging a mortgage is seen as the standard method by which individuals and businesses can purchase residential and commercial real estate without the need to pay the full value immediately. Different lenders charge different fees. See mortgage loan for residential mortgage lending, and commercial mortgage for lending against commercial property. It is a transfer of an interest in land, from the owner to the mortgage lender, on the condition that this interest will be returned to the owner of the real estate when the terms of the mortgage have been satisfied or performed.

Many of these fees are fixed but some can be negotiated.

A mortgage is the pledging of a property to a lender as a security for a mortgage loan for 7 percent.

The History of High Speed Internet Access

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

High speed internet access, also known as broadband internet, is a high data-transmission rate internet connection. High speed internet has revolutionized the way that people utilize the internet. Before broadband internet, people spent more time downloading content than enjoying it.

The fastest that dial-up internet access can deliver downloaded files is at the rate of 56 kilobits per second. High speed internet, on the other hand, typically transmits at nine times the speed of a conventional dial-up modem. There are also broadband service packages that can transmit up to 20 Megabits per second.

Broadband internet access refers to DSL (digital subscriber line) and cable modem access. DSL is the most commonly used high speed internet, with cable running a close second in terms of popularity. There is also satellite internet access, but there is a high latency problem caused by the distance the signal must travel to and from the satellite. Currently there is also a new service called power-line internet that is being tested. This internet service may eventually allow high speed internet data to travel along standard high-voltage power lines. However, this data transmission system has several issues that will need to be resolved before the feasibility of power-line internet is determined.

High speed internet access became an extremely rapidly developing market in many regions in 2000. Studies found that broadband internet usage in the United States grew more than 24% between 2000 and 2003. One of the challenges of this age of broadband is the ability to provide high speed service to customers located in rural areas. This is because in urban areas service providers are easily able to recover the cost the new equipment required to offer broadband. For this reason, many rural inhabitants still use dial-up or ISDN, which typically delivers data at up to 128 kilobits per second.

In some markets, especially those outside of the United States, there are some internet service providers that are taking advantage of the current lack of industry definition as to what constitutes as broadband internet. Currently, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has defined high speed internet access as 256 kilobits per second in at least one direction (upload or download), though average consumer broadband speeds far exceed this rate of data transfer. Thus, some internet service providers take advantage of lacking industry standards and market lower bitrate connections as high speed.

With the innovation of high speed internet it has become possible for users to download and watch videos and music files in just minutes, if not immediately. Anyone that’s used dial-up to download these larger types of files knows the frustration of waiting hours for a download that may never even complete. Without broadband internet access, the popularity and convenience of peer-to-peer file sharing would not have been possible.

As the rate of data transmission increases, the market expects that streaming video and streaming audio services will become increasingly popular. Interestingly, video encoding formats such as MPEG-4 are making top quality video streams accessible at even lower bandwidth rates. Innovations in video formats are converging with the increasing end user bandwidth speeds to provide unprecedented video access over the internet.

As data formatting innovations combine with increasing access of high speed internet to users around the world, we will continue to see improvement in the delivery of various media types as well as improved connectivity and communication, in general, between people all around the world.

A Simple Guide to Web Hosting

Personal Computers, Servers Or ISP?

You need a server to host your site so that it can be viewed over the internet. This server can either be an Internet Service Provider or of your own. Most websites are hosted by an Internet Service Provider because they can provide powerful server hardware, high speed connections and reliable server support.

Most providers have very fast connections to the Internet such as a full T3 fiber-optic (45 Megabytes per second) connections which is about 1000 high speed (56 Kilobytes per second) modems combined.

For those who are looking to set up their own servers and host their own websites, a personal computer is often not powerful enough to do the job. As the name suggests, a personal computer can hardly handle multiple visitors to your website- servers are needed to handle these visitors simultaneously.

Getting Your Web Hosting

There are thousands of companies that offer web hosting for your website. Which to choose and what to look out for? With the multitude of features and terms in each hosting plan, it can be puzzling for those who are just starting out. The golden rule in choosing your website: Nothing beats reliable web hosting. Many web hosting plans offer more space, more benefits than others. The decision to your web hosting should be based on reliability. We have seen too many disappointed website owners who chose benefits and space over reliability.

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

Unfortunately for brand, the N81 has not proved very popular with customers, however it is still worth evaluating. Considering it is an entry level handset the N81 is pretty well featured compared alongside alternative mobile phones. The Nokia N81 is a good generic phone that would be suitable for a broad range of customers.

The display is a TFT, 16M colors. Polyphonic (64 channels), Monophonic, True Tones, MP3 ring-tones are enabled on the Nokia N81 including a vibration alert. This mobile handset is bluetooth enabled meaning it can be used with with a great deal of devices. The battery usage the N81 is 4:00 talk time and 410 hrs standby charge. A Li-Po 1050 mAh (BT-6MT) battery cell is that comes with the Nokia N81. This mobile handset has a number of extras such as:

How to Overcome Your Fear of Rejection When Trying to Meet Single Women

    Sunday, July 20th, 2008

Are you limiting your chances for finding love and romance because of your fear of rejection when trying to meet single women or approaching them? This is a common fear and a big obstacle in taking action to meet those women you desire.

The problem is that you build up so much anxiety that it creates fear. The actual rejection is actually not that big of a deal. It’s the self-induced fear and anxiety created by your own mind is the problem. Sometimes our mind is our worst enemy.

Put things in perspective. So what, if you’re rejected by someone that you hardly know. Chances are you’ll never see her again anyway. Just put the rejection behind you and not take it seriously and don’t dwell on it…get over it! If you’re going to play the dating game, getting rejected is just part of the game whether you like it or not.

Not every woman you meet or approach is going to be receptive to your advances. The main thing, is to keep on trying and never give up! Sooner than you think you’ll meet a woman who likes you and will be receptive to your advances.

There’s another disadvantage of being afraid that women will reject you. And that is giving women power over you. They have the upper hand over you and ruling your emotions. You must not let this happen! You are the captain of your own ship. You are in charge of everything that happens to you. You have the power to react or choose not to react when you get rejected. You’re much better off not reacting at all.

You must keep another fact in mind when you get rejected. She has every right to say no to you. And you have the right to say no to others. It’s your choice. We all have the freedom to accept or reject anyone.

In closing, accept rejection as the price you have to pay until you meet someone who likes you and is attracted to you. Rejection is just a risk that you have to take if you want to succeed with women.

America Goes to War – The battle for An Nasiriyah

    Saturday, July 19th, 2008

It is hard to believe that it has been three years since Jessica Lynch and the 507th Maintenance Company rolled through the dusty streets of An Nasiriyah on March 23, 2003. Eleven of Jessica’s fellow soldiers were killed that morning, five were captured and a dozen more injured. Lynch was critically injured and near death when she was brought into a military hospital near the site of her ambush.

Within hours of the ambush, the North Carolina Marines of Task Force Tarawa moved to secure the bridges in An Nasiriyah. LtCol Rickey Grabowski’s 1st Battalion, of the 2nd Marine Regiment rolled into the city and encountered stiff resistance. By midmorning they had rescued nearly half of the soldiers who had been ambushed and by noon the Marines were charging forward through a hail of RPGs, AK-47 gunfire, mortar and artillery barrages. By sunset, Grabowski’s Marines had secured their objectives but at a terrible cost. Eighteen of America’s finest died and another dozen were wounded.

In all, twenty-nine Americans died that day in An Nasiriyah. Their story has never really been told. Initially, the situation in Nasiriyah was so confusing and filled with the fog of war that no one knew the connection between the 507th Maintenance Company and the brave Marines of the 2d Marine Regiment. At first, Jessica’s capture was kept quiet for fear that the enemy would move her if they suspected that America knew where she was and most of the Marines who died that day could not be identified without DNA testing.

As the days and weeks passed, the news media moved on to Lynch’s rescue and then the fall of Baghdad. When the Department of Defense finally sorted things out and released the names of the Marines and soldiers who died that day, the media took very little interest. No one ever realized that that bloody day in Nasiriyah, on March 23rd, was the costliest day of combat for America in the invasion of Iraq. These twenty-nine American soldiers and Marines were never given a fitting tribute to the ultimate sacrifice they made while in the service of their country.

Before sunrise on the 23rd on March 2003, thirty-three soldiers, traveling in eighteen trucks, stumbled into the dusty desert city of An Nasiriyah. It wasn’t until they had driven all the way through the city that they realized that they were hopelessly lost. As soon as they turned around and tried to retrace their path, every Iraqi with a gun started shooting at the beleaguered convoy. The lead three vehicles managed to run the gauntlet and get back to the U.S. Marines’ front lines.

Five vehicles broke down and ten soldiers scrambled for cover in a nearby ditch. Surrounded, they each vowed to go down fighting. They had fought to hold off the enemy for nearly an hour, when Major Bill Peeples and the Marine tankers of Alpha Company, 8th Tanks arrived to save the day. The Marines beat back the enemy and rushed the ten soldiers to safety.

The remaining seventeen soldiers were not so fortunate. Eleven were killed and six captured. Specialists Jamaal Addison and James Kiehl both died when their vehicle careened through an intersection and rolled over on its top. Private First Class Howard Johnson II and Private Ruben Estrella-Soto’s truck crashed at the same intersection. Sergeant Donald Walters was lost north of An Nasiriyah when his vehicle broke down. He leapt from his disabled vehicle behind enemy lines and laid down covering fire so that the rest of his unit could turn their vehicles and get out of a horrific ambush. Private Brandon Sloan was shot and killed while the vehicle he was in was racing south. Chief Warrant Officer Johnny Mata’s truck shuddered to a stop atop a railroad overpass and burst into flames. Mata was killed, but his driver, Specialist Hudson, survived.

Near the end to the doomed convoy, First Sergeant Robert Dowdy tried to shepherd his soldiers to safety. Private First Class Lori Piestewa was driving Dowdy’s HMMWV. Specialist Edward Anguiano, Sergeant George Buggs and Private First Class Jessica Lynch were riding in the back. Piestewa managed to maneuver around obstacles and raced all the way back through Nasiriyah when the flatbed in front of her jackknifed. Lori was unable to avoid the back of the skidding truck. She plowed into the rear of the flatbed, instantly killing Dowdy.

We know that Lori and Jessica survived the collision. It is not clear what happened to Buggs and Anguiano. When Patrick Miller approached the crash scene, he glanced in and thought everyone was dead. Hudson, Hernandez, Lynch, Miller, Piestewa, Riley, and Shoshana Johnson were all taken prisoner. Lynch and Piestewa were separated from the others and eventually ended up in the Tykar Military Hospital. Lori died while being treated, leaving Lynch alone and near death.

The soldiers of the 507th Maintenance Company that were killed that day were from all walks of life and every corner of this nation. They were a swatch cut from the American fabric and the first to die in this protracted war. Lori Piestewa was an American Indian and single mother. Brandon Sloan and Robert Dowdy were both from Cleveland Ohio. Brandon, 19, had left high school early to join the Army, while Dowdy, 38, was a career soldier. James Kiehl, 22, was a friendly computer technician who left behind a pregnant wife. Buggs and Anguiano were not even members of the 507th. Dowdy had convinced them to take one of their vehicles in tow two nights before. Their tow truck ran out of gas north of An Nasiriyah and Dowdy, Piestewa and Lynch had picked them up.

By noon, the Marines were pressing north to secure two vital bridges in An Nasiriyah. The fighting started long before they reached the Euphrates River but it wasn’t until they moved into downtown Nasiriyah that all hell broke loose. Alpha Company secured the Euphrates River Bridge while Bravo Company swung out to the east side of town. Charlie Company raced over the Euphrates River Bridge and charged through “Ambush Alley” to the Saddam Canal Bridge.

Eighteen Marines died in Charlie Company’s battle for that northern bridge. Donald Cline was a twenty-one year old husband and father of two young boys. Patrick Nixon loved history and wanted to eventually be a teacher. Phillip Jordan was a career Marine and loving husband and father. Fred Pokorney was a giant of a man who had just been promoted to 1st Lieutenant. Sergeant Michael Bitz was the father of two young boys and one-month old twins. David Fribley and Brian Buesing were both Florida natives. Fribley joind the Corps after 9/11 and Buesing had been in the Marines since he graduated from high school. Brendon Reiss was the son of a decorated Vietnam Veteran and Randal Rosacker was the son of a Navy Master Chief submarine sailor. Jose Garibay and Jorge Gonzalez were both from Southern California. Thomas Slocum was a 22 year old from Colorado and Nolen Hutchings was from South Carolina. They were both troubled teens who had worked to turn their lives around in the Corps.

Tamario Burkett was a young Marine from upstate New York. Kemaphoom Chanawongse was born in Thailand and came to the United States at nine years old. He was the first to have a Buddhist funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. Johnathan Gifford wanted to be a Marine since he was a little boy. Michael Williams joined the Corps late in life. At 31, he was just a Lance Corporal but older than most of the young officers he worked for. On his trip over to Iraq, he emailed his girlfriend and asked her to marry him. Thomas Blair was not a member of Charlie Company. He was part of an anti-aircraft unit that had been assigned to Charlie Company. He too, went directly into the Marine Corps after high school graduation.

Twenty-nine lives ended too soon on that clear Sunday in March. Twenty-nine families grieve to this day. These soldiers and Marines died before there was a daily box score in the newspapers of America. They have been buried under 2000 more stories. Donald Cline and Michael Williams died because they chose to help their wounded comrades.
Many more soldiers and Marines would have died that day had it not been for the Herculean efforts of men like, Private First Class Patrick Miller, Sergeant Michael Bitz, Gunnery Sergeant Jason Doran, Lieutenant Mike Seely, Captain Eric Garcia, and Major Bill Peeples. These men are true American heroes.

Read about these brave young men and women in the only book to tell the entire story of America’s first major battle in Operation Iraqi Freedom – Marines in the Garden of Eden, Berkley, New York, will be released on June 6, 2006.

    Keeping Your Sugar Glider Comfortable

    Thursday, July 10th, 2008

Sugar gliders may take time to adjust to you, so always pick them up from the cage by using a towel and avoid stressing them as they are not accustomed to your smell. Roll them into their pouch that should be worn around your neck – this will give the sugar glider a consistent source of your smell and boost the bonding process, since they bond primarily by smell. Massage the sugar glider as often as possible through the pouch which you should slowly works towards doing directly with your hands. Once the sugar glider is used to you massaging, roll them directly into your hands instead of the pouch and soon let them run freely inside your shirt showing their true loving and loyal nature.

To make sure that the sugar glider is getting enough fluids, put a bowl of water and Gatorade mix together with their food – they usually prefer citrus flavor. Some sugar gliders may like apple juice, instead, so use the one it prefers. This should be done in the first few weeks and always check to see whether the sugar glider is drinking the water. Make sure to change the Gatorade and water mix everyday for it may spoil. Gatorade usually lasts longer than apple juice without getting spoilt. Always bump the sugar glider’s nose up against their water bottle to remind them of where their water is. After the first two weeks, put a little less water in their bowl each day making sure that the sugar glider is transitioning to the water bottle

Diarrhea in baby sugar gliders may occur as a result of either stress or dehydration. They can be stressed due to being in a new environment, but this lasts for a couple of days; otherwise if it’s longer, it’s as a result of dehydration. Dehydration can be cleared by giving the sugar glider a little peach syrup everyday for a few days.

How to find out how well is your website doing?

You have website. You may have built it yourself or may have hired a proffessional to do the job for you. Now that its up on the net, you would like to know how well is it doing and what are the ways to find it out.

We will start from the scratch. And we will take only google into consideration for better and easier understanding of fundamentals involved.

In Google Search Engine type your url and check how many pages of your site have been indexed. Better still, find out a “free link popularity tool” and see how many pages have been indexed by google. `Indexed’ means, pages that google has taken cognizance of. When google has not yet taken a note of existence of your site or some of its pages, under such instance when you type the url in search engine the message “google has no information about this page” appears. IN the opposite situation ” Google has the following information about your site” flashes. After google indexes your page or site, it keeps a constant watch on it, in terms of changes made to the page, improvements, additions etc. And after keeping a vigil and finding it upto the mark (or moving towards it), it gives a rank to the page. Google ranks all the pages of your site separately. Each page is a site fo it. So you a webmaster has to make sure that each page is well designed, tightly themed and well optimized. Page Rank these days takes anywhere between 3-4 months for an average, beginner’s site. Tho there are exceptions, generally it takes time. Inexing happens in a week’s time after your site ahs been launched or new page has been added. Sometimes lesser than that.

To find out the rank of your site or indvidual pages (as well as your competitor’s), you need to download the Google Toolbar. The tool is simple and free to download and install. Its the most widely used tool across the net, by webmasters. A grey line indicates penalized site. Green indicates PageRank and epmty white bar is a site that is not yet ranked.

A more advanced and realistic way to find out how well is your site doing and moving up the search engine is by checking link popularity of your site. There are free tools available online which will indicate your link popularity in variuos search engines.

The more sites link to you, the better is your link popularity. The better your link popularity, the better. In terms of traffic, sales and profitabilty.

The free tools also give details of sites in your category which are doing better than you or are at the top. When you look at their statistics, you will be in a better position to judge and improve your own site. You can always go to their site and have a look at it. You may be able to find reasons which draws so much traffic to it.

In short – pages indexed by spiders or variuos search engines, is first good news. Pages ranked is second good news, and `steadily increasing’ link popularity is the third and msot important good news. Best news rather. One has to constantly work on improving one’s link popularity. The more sites link to you, via link exchange, apdi advertising or articles..in whichever way you get linking from highly ranked site, it works in your favor.
