New Caledonia is a hidden gem in the western Pacific Ocean that offers serene surroundings and plenty of exciting activities for visitors. The Island is part of the French colony bordered by water all around, visitors have the opportunity to experience the amazing ocean wild life as well as enjoy water activities such as wind surfing and scuba diving. You should consider learning a little French before your visit to New Caledonia because the island is strongly influenced by the French. In the capital city of Noumea, they speak French, English, and Japanese at most hotels, restaurants and shops.

While in New Caledonia, a popular honeymoon destination, newlyweds can go for long dreamy walks on the beach, arrange a tour of the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Center, or wander through the beautiful botanical garden. Some honeymooners go so far as to renting a yacht while staying here. With a yacht, they can cruise the tranquil waters encircling the main island of Grand Terre or explore one of the smaller islands. Who knows they may discover a small private beach on Isle des Pines, known for white-sand beaches and an emerald lagoon, where they can have a romantic lunch and swim.

Another great way to discover New Caledonia is to join one of the hiking tours, which will allow you to see the fantastic countryside instead of the usual tourist spots, without the worry of getting lost. They could also engage a taxi boat to take them to one of the neighboring islands in the area. Grande Terre has the worlds largest coral lagoon making it a must see. Imagine the thrill of finding a marine treasure while diving amongst exquisite coral, tropical fish, turtles, sea snakes and sharks or the enchantment of seeing dolphins playing and whales spouting while you relax on the beach of this lovely vacation location.

New Caledonia guests can experience the divine French food or local cuisine. While there try the Bougna, a traditional meal of the native Melanesians, which has meat and roots, such as yams and sweet potatoes, wrapped in banana leaves and then cooked under hot rocks heated in a fire.

If you want to see the views of Hayling Island, there are many ways to do that. Take a bike or a hike.

Enjoy a variety of walks with the Hayling Island group taking in the pleasant sea views.

This isn’t a sort of group to challenge the experienced or super fit walkers – it is more of a beginner class

The longer walk enables those who enjoy a slightly faster paced saunter to enjoy the Hayling coastline whilst socialising with friends.

Share a morning promenade with friends taking in the good sea air and ever changing environment, returning for refreshments.
This is mainly a flat route. There are two short hills at the Rowlands Castle end of the route. The majority of the route is on cycle path, but 3 short sections are on road:
1.	from The Recreation Ground, The Fairway, Rowlands Castle to the bottom of the hill in Durrants Road
2.	the section of road between Langstone Road and Langstone Bridge on to Hayling Island. The pavements on both sides of Langstone Bridge (only) are cycle paths.
3.	the southern loop of Staunton Ave, Sea Front and Sinah Lane.

The Hayling Billy Coastal Route is made from consolidated scalpings, with a top-dressing, there is a spot of tarmac and some concrete and it might be a little lumpy in places. Almost all road bikes will cope but mountain bikes are better suited ” I pedalled the route on a mountain bike with slick road tyres and I was Alright. There are spots where a little of would choose to walk but these points are few and far between and very short ” bearing in mind I wheeled the route the day following torrential downpours which pulled leaves off trees etc. a few puddles about but on the whole it was pretty well drained.

If you want to know about a wonderful place to stay on Hayling Island then you should consider Cockle Warren. If you want to go to a great Hayling Island bed and breakfast then you should look at this hotel
Cockle Warren Cottage Hotel
36 Sea Front, Hayling Island, PO11 9HL
023 9246 4961

Ring the number and have a chat with Kate

Australia is the smallest continent and the largest island in the world. It is almost as large as the 48 adjacent United States. Its 20.4 million people are mostly saturated in the eastern and south eastern coastal urban regions. This means that there are big open areas to explore in the remainder of the country, and this can be best done by car. Gorgeous coastlines, inland mountainous regions and verdant tropical forests with exotic plants and wild life are there for the traveller to experience.

A traveler with an international driving permit or a valid American or European driving permit in English can easily arrange for a car rental at the airport or hotel. There are heaps of car hire companies offering many kinds of vehicles, from diverse makes and sizes of cars and SUVs to minivans, camper vans and RVs, minibuses, and 4WDs. There is a vehicle to suit anyone. Just to exemplify, those who love camping can find camper vans that will sleep up to 6 people, and come fitted with a microwave, gas stove, griller and refrigerator. Deluxe models even have double beds, toilet and shower in addition to the mini-kitchen. There are 4WDs that would be suitable for more tough terrain. If budget is restricted, there are economy compact cars and economy campers. There are also convertibles and luxury large cars, if you want to travel in style.

If you are visiting Australia from another country, you should be knowledgeable with the driving conditions: driving on the left side of the road, observing the different speed limits (in kilometres) and regulations in the States to be visited, checking weather and road conditions before travel, letting police know of travel plans if driving in rural areas, making way for the road trains (a semi-truck hauling 3 large trailers), etc. The car hire company will usually supply you with thorough information on driving rules and regulations, supplies to take (most importantly, plenty of water), emergency procedures, potential dangers such as wildlife and driving at night, as well as accommodations, routes and resources on the road. Study and preparation ahead will assure a successful and pleasurable car vacation in Australia.

The South African peninsula features temperate weather during the entire year, with the advantage of being situated – making it a great vacation away from the frozen European and American wintertimes.

During this brief article, we’re going to discuss the less famous locations of the South African peninsula, places where you can bypass the hords of tourists while also enjoying the cheaper prices that you find off the beaten path.

Kruger National Park
Many people know about Kruger National Park from arguably the most well-known footage of wildlife. Kruger is the largest wildlife park in South Africa and expands 350 km from south to north and 60 km from west to east. Kruger Park has 8 main gates that provide entrance to the different campsites there. There is plenty of hotels near Kruger Park so it doesn’t have to be a mammoth return trip from Durban or wherever you’re staying.

Visit the Drakensberg Mountain Range
The Drakensberg Mountain Range is the highest range of mountains the South African Peninsula, extending to over 3400 metres in elevation. Old caves are frequently found in the easily weathered sandstone, and numerous have rock paintings sketched by the Bushmen. The Drakensberg Mountains have roughly 40000 works of bushman drawings and is the largest aggregation of such artwork in the world. There is some proof that the bushmen lived in the Drakensberg as long ago as 100,000 years ago. The Drakensberg Mountain Range is easily accessible from nearby Durban and you can find guesthouses in Durban without any trouble.

KwaZulu
The KwaZulu region has become progressively popular with tourists – mainly sold as the Zulu Kingdom. It is unfortunate that many tourists don’t go to this area, as many locals know that it gives visitors a long list of experiences. For a long time it has taken the moniker as the Garden Province – and a well deserved name it is too. And again, there should be no worry finding accommodation in and around KwaZulu.

“The Chinese weren’t allowing anybody on Mt Everest. They ended up commandeering it for themselves, even though Chomolungma is shared by two countries. Bahadur Sherchan returned this week from Nepal after successfully climbing to the summit of Mount Everest. They flexed their muscles this year all the in name of the Olympic spirit, but it was hardly spirited at all.”

Further, the decision to actualize a long-time personal goal left Andrew Brash with some internal uncertainties, he cited the political actions of China and Nepal as providing the greatest adversity he faced on his journey. Hall was frostbitten and severely disoriented due to altitude sickness. Min Bahadur Sherchan returned a hero to Calgarians. As he planned for the climb, Sherchan told reporters he wanted to inspire fellow senior citizens. He also said many Nepalese have established records on the Mount Everest, so it was only fitting that the record for the oldest climber to reach the summit should also belong to a Nepali. This year mountaineer Anthony Loeff is reporting the scales for Chomolungma or Mount Everest after he reached the peak of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania earlier this season.

Therefore, he was all too aware of the potential dangers Everest could bring. Certain parts of the climb are more dangerous than others and it is important for climbers to remain focused Bahadur Sherchan and four climbing guides reached the 29,035-foot (8,850-meters) summit of the world’s highest mountain early Sunday, said Ramesh Chretri, an official with Nepal’s ministry of tourism.

His first found him within 241 metres of the peak when his team stopped to help a fellow mountaineer who was left for dead. Two years later, Andrew Brash, a University of Calgary alumni, returned to Chomolungma or Mount Everest to finish what he had started.

Now that Min Bahadur Sherchan has successfully scaled the tallest mountain in the world, he is once again ready to focus on his family. The 76-year-old man from Nepal is now the oldest person to have reached the top of Mount Everest. The Chinese were flying their airplanes over Mt Everest and had Chinese officials in Kathmandu. With the Chinese preparing for the impending summer Olympic Games, Bahadur Sherchan noted that the government’s actions hardly reflected the Olympic spirit. More than 3102 people have climbed to the summit since it was first conquered in 1953 by New Zealander Edmund Hillary, who died in January, and Nepal’s Tenzing Norgay.

“the Mount Everest this year became a political pawn,” he said with some frustration.

They basically coerced the Nepali government to not allow any climbers past camp two on the Nepali side. Min Bahadur Sherchan last attempt resulted in the rescue of Lincoln Hall, an Australian climber who was left by his team in the “death zone.”

Sherchan just 17 days away from his 77th birthday beat the age record set last year by 71-year-old Japanese teacher Katsusuke Yanagisawa.
